SPECIFICITY

This antibody recognizes linear (1→3)-β-oligosaccharide segments in (1→3)-β-glucans. It has no cross reactivity with (1→4)-β-glucan or (1→3,1→4)-β-glucan. This antibody can be used with second stage, gold-labelled rabbit anti-mouse antibody for immunohistochemical studies

Indirect ELISA titre against the following β-glucan-BSA conjugates were: BSA-laminarin 30ng/mL BSA-cellopentaose >100,000ng/mL BSA-barley β-glucan >100,000ng/mL Antibody binding to the laminarin-BSA conjugate was inhibited (50%) by laminaribiose (1.5x10-3M) and laminaritetrose (4.2x10-4M).
